The next morning, I had an Africa style breakfast.
There were lots of kinds of fruits, totally different from the countries
I've been to.
|
The sky was mostly cloudy, but sometimes,
Mt. Kilimanjaro showed its figure among clouds. Gorgeous!!
|
After the breakfast, I got together with Franziska and all staffs of
"Team Raha," and headed for the starting gate "Machame Gate."
|
On the way, we stopped by at some grocery stores to get some water and food
which we needed on the mountain. At the meat shop, the team Raha told the
butcher
|
the amount of meat we needed, then the butcher chopped meat with a big
knife
like the picture below. It looked like old traditional meat markets in
Japan.
|
----------- Machame Gate (1800m) ----------
About an hour drive later, we got to Machame Gate.
We followed the steps to climb Mt.Kilimanjaro there.
|
Our porters packed all the loads, and went through the scale
to see if their bags had exceeded the weight limit of 15kg per a client.
|
At the gate, there were many other teams of climbers, their guides, and
porters. So busy!!
|
While we were waiting for our turn to leave, we took a picture with a sign.
|
To be continued!! |
