⑨　The 1st Aurora Experience


After lunch, I went on a 2 hour-drive, having a rest for my business on the way, and got to Ylläs.

I made it to the lodge "Ylläs-Kaltio,"which I'd stay for 4 nights. It was well-built with the calm contryside mood and elegance. 　 I was so happy to have a privete sauna in my room!!

After taking a rest in my room, I headed for "Snow Fun Safaris," which is across from the lodge, to rent the winter wear. I could book some local tours there too.

The winter wear I rented: It kept me dry and warm for sure!!

After dinner, I headed for Äkäslompolo lake about 10 minutes walking from the lodge and waited for Aurora/Northern Lights there.

The moon and starry sky were picture-perfect

After a while, They appeared, got bigger and brighter, and changed itself into many kinds of shapes.

Because of my 1st experience in this trip, I was so happy and remembered the ones that I saw in Alaska 14 years ago.

※ Click "Here" to see more pictures of Aurora/Northern Lights!! After they danced in the sky, they got weaker and disappeard. I kept waiting for them to appear again but they didn't.

So I got back to the lodge, warmed myself in the sauna, and drank with a sour which I'd got in Tampere, celebrating the 1st Aurora/Northern Lights. Cheers!!!

It tasted very good!! I've never drunk dericious sour like this in my life even in Japan. Scince I was thirsty after taking a sauna, I emptied it right away without a break.

I fell asleep and went into my dream with the exitement!! Good Night!!
