13: Bus Tour in the Park (4 of 4)

---------- Return ----------

We could see the beautiful fall colors on the way back too.

H Wonder Lake
This is one of the most beautiful points in the park. When we reached here, he stopped the bus
and said, "The cloud is disappering, and we can see Mt. Mckinley a little now." He was right!!
We saw it, which beat "Naomi Uemura," who's one of the most famous mountain climbers in the world.

"The top is behind the cloud but two-thirds of the mountain is here!!"
So the border between the cloud and the mountain might be about 4000m high
in the picture below. I was moved even though I could just see
the lower part of it, and firmly promised to come again on the clear days.

The end of "Muldrow Glacier," which floats down from Mt. Mckinley in the middle of the picture

The bus steadily kept going back. We saw many kinds of wild animals on the way back as well.

A female moose near the lake

All dall sheep were
near the top of mountains
to protect themselves from wolves.

A grizzly bear
walking across the river

Suddenly, the weather turned and the strange shaped dark cloud formed.
It looked as if a tornado almost hit us!!

When we came back near the 1st station, a moose confidently walked across
the road, even though lots of cars were around. Actually We had to stop and wait for
animals to cross. I learned all animals get the right of way in Alaska.

---------- Arrived at the Lodge ----------

Like when we finished working, I got so hungry
after the satisfying bus tour, so I went to the restaurant in the lodge
directly and had dinner. Unlike Japanese rice, American's sucked...
but the desert tasted as good as yesterday's.

I was so happy to see the wonderful sceneries
and the wild animals, and to have good dinner. Good Night!!
