E C2:Shira Camp (3750m)

Actually, Tammy said to us, "You need to drink a lot of water like it's your job on the mountain."
He made me drink 3 or 4 litters of water. So I couldn't sleep at all because I had to do my business

every 30 minutes. Every time I came back to the tent after doing my business,
I felt the needs to go back for it again... I was up all night and 6:30 a.m came, feeling sleepy.

At each camp on the mountain, we got sweaty during the day, but it came down
to less than the freezing point every night because we were up high. When I went outside
from the tent every morning, the tent screamed, "BARI BARI BARI!!," awful sound...
the surface on the tent outside gets frozen from the staem from inside...

After having breakfast and packing, we left there at 8 o'clock and
headed for C2: Shira Camp (3750m) taking the pink line in the map above.
20 or 30 minutes after we left C1, the easy trail like the one from the day 1
continued for a while, but suddenly it got much steeper on the way.。

We passed the end of the forest area and looked down at other teams
with the climbers from all over the world, their guides, and their portes.

I felt the Kibo got closer. No! No! Too easy!! Still long way to go...

On the way, Tammy gave us a pack of fruit juice each
to keep our energies up. It was so tasty that I got some
as souvenirs at a super market in Moshi on the final day.

After a break, we went to a view spot. Right behind, we could see Mt.Meru,
the 5th highest mountain in Africa. At that time, I saw an African married couple
and talked with them. When we talked about Altitude sickness, they also told me
that it's very very important to drink a lot of water. On top of that, drinking
a lot of water is much better than taking medicine. Water is the natural medicine!!

Like the 1st day, I found some alpine plants on the 2nd day too.

Everlasting

Euryops Pectinatus
In chrysantemum family

Lobelia Deckenii

I saw a porter of another team from the camp getting water.
So we must be close to Shira camp, the today's goal!! Yay!!

-------- C2: Shira Camp (3750m) -------

A bit after 1 o'clock, we got to Shira camp.
We hit the steeper path than the day before,
but the distance was a bit shorter so I felt it was a bit too easy!!

To be continued!!
