After breakfast, I went for a walk aroud the hotel.
The town was so quiet and looked like a ghost town because it was on Sunday.
The locals told me
the most of grocery stores and restaurants are closed on Sundays in Norway
except small supermarkets.
The towns in Scandinavia have lots of buildings that have interesting designs,
which I've never seen
in the U.S, and gave me unique feeling. Because of high latitude, it was
still dark but was already after 9 a.m.
I left Harstad for the south along the coast and headed for "Svolvær,"
the port town in the middle of Lofoten.
On the way, I could see beautiful fjords often.
I got to the hotel in Svolvær after 2 p.m. but the check-in was 3 p.m...
hmm...
Anyway, I had lunch at the restaurant in the hotel to satisfy my appetite.
