⑪ Local Supermarket

In the evening, I got back to Svolvær and had dinner.

I was planning to enjoy Aurora/Northern Lights that evening too but it was raining
like the day before. So I gave up and went shopping to "Rimi," which I'd heard
about as the biggest supermarket in Svolvaer. I don't know if it's local
in Norway, I often saw it all over "Tromsø," where I'd head the next day.

I heard the locals have the time limitation for getting some alcohol in Norway, in fact, so
they gotta get them by eight in the evening on week days and by five in Saturday evenings.
So when I got to the drink section, all alcohol were covered with curtains, and
refrigerators filled with alcohol were locked already. Soft drinks were only available.

The bread and bun section
All looked so good!! I wanted to have some donuts the MOST!!

I lose control over sweets!!

All were about 150 to 200 yen a piece.
Products are priced higher in Norway
but their prices were almost the same as in Japan.

The snack section
The standard package size of potato chips is 300g!!
Compared to the size of single servings in Japan, it's much bigger here in Norway.

These chocolate series are very popolar in Norway
so I chose and tried 2 series of them. They tasted amazing!!

The processed food section
I found some tempura, sushi, and soy sauce "Kikkoman,"
one of the most popular food companies in Japan. I'm proud of them!!

The soft drink section
There were some kinds of faces printed on the milk carton.
WHO ARE THEY?? Someone famous in Norway??

Like in Finland, the cashier has the conveyor belt system in Norway too.

After got back to the hotel, took a break having a carton of cocoa-milk which has
a cute cow printed on. The milk series has not only cocoa flavor but 2 other ones
(strawberry and plain). My favorite was cocoa flavor so I had it for my breaks
every day during this trip. I wanted to take some home as one of the souvenirs.

I fell asleep wishing for a great weather tomorrow...Good Night!!
