7:In the Antarctica Circle

After the breakfast, I saw the continent covered with the snow, so dashed to the deck.

Yes!! It's South Shetland Islands (circled in red in the map)
; The most northern points during this cruse tour.

Firstly, we were supposed to get there in the afternoon but we actually made it there
in the early morning because the Drake Passage was much quieter than usual.
"Yay!! Antarctica!! I'm finally here!!" I was looking at it without any thoughts.

Then I found something small on my right in the sea. So I checked it with binoculars.
I could see a yacht sailing to the opposite direction. Great!!!

Some sea birds came to us from behind. They are Cape Petrel.
They are very small and have some black and white dots on their wings.
We can never see them except in the Antarctica.

When I was taking some pictures, I also saw some strange whales
or dolphins in the sea. They were Orca??

After I went back to the lounge, the expedition staffs
explained tomorrow's schedule and cautions to us.

The ship kept going more south and I saw a big iceberg on the way.

To be continued!!
