| We had sightseeing of Ushuaia, the most sourthern town in the world. I didn't hear a sound, that's how quiet it was.  |

A casino, a post office... everything was the most southern establishment.   l |

Also, Ushuaia is called "The town of steep hills." The steep hills run across the town from the mountains to the port. The people who live in the mountain areas, can't use thier bicycles.   |
----- The Departure to Antarctica -----
| The time for Antarctica came. We got on the ship "Sea Spirit,"and headed for Antarctica.  |
| It wasn't good looking ship so much and wasn't too big. But!! Unlike how it looked outside, it was very gorgeous inside!!  |
The cabin which I stayed during the cruise was the least expensive one. During the cruise, I was with a man from Sendai in his 70s named Mr.K |

and another man from Saitama in his 60s called Mr.K; Double Ks! Lol We were used the same cabin. (I had stayed at the hotel in Usuaia with them too.) A bath and washroom was in a big bright clean space. |
   After the departure, the ship went across Beagle Channel which we went sightseeing in the morning. |
I felt that It was different from the view of the morning. We met in the lounge. The ship staffs and expedition staffs |
| introduced themselves to us and gave us an emergency training. And, the dinner time came!! Gorgeous!!      |

After the dinner, the expedition staffs gave us long rain boots and outwears to protect ourselves from watness and coldness |
| and keep us warm, then explained to us how to use them. Good Night!! |
