13：The 1st Experience on the Antarctica Continent
| After going through Lemaire Channel, the Sea Spirit went north more and headed for "Neko Harbour," where we enjoyed sightseeing in the morning. |
| When we were just about to get to Neko Harbour, suddenly a humpback whale
jumped from the sea. It was a bit far from the ship but it was my very 1st time. Mesmorized!!  |
| We went on the rubber boats and sailed through Neko Harbour and landed on the Antarctica continent for the 1st time. Hooray!!  |
From the beach, we walked up to the top of the hill. This was also very dangerous so the expedition staffs went on first |

and posted the flags like the time we were on Petermann Island. Long rain boots, very thick heavy wears, and deep snow... very tough to walk.  |
