22: The Paddle Wheeler "World Discovery"

I left Chena Hot Springs Resort for Fairbanks city center early that morning.

I went to a pier along the Chena River to get on the paddle wheer
"World Discovery" for 9, but it was too early. It was still closed
so I spent the spare time having the breakfast at a nearby hotel.

 ---------- River Cruise ----------

The World Discovery went down the Chena River and headed for "Native Village."

Felt Gooooood!!!!!
It slowly moved forward rolling the paddle wheel at the back of the cruise boat.

On the way, we stopped at the point where some people showed us the dog sled demonstration.
The dogs there used to belong to the famous female dog sled racer who died
at the age of 51 years young, and have won international dog sled races many times.

We went kept going and reached the junction of Chena River and Tanana River.

This is a small chena-indian village for Athapaskan tribe. Near the pier at the village,
We learned how they capture salmons with a water wheel, process, and smoke them.
It looked so delicious that I almost said, "LET ME TRY IT !!!!"
