11: Bus Tour in the Parki2 of 4j

We drove along the route like the map below and
the driver explained about each point and some animals.

‡@ The Boreal Forest Land
After we went past "Riley Creek," we drove across "Taiga," for a while.
The ground totally turned crimson, and I learned many moose
live in this area. Right!! I could see a moose in the distance.
The moose with big antlers in the picture is male moose.

‡A Savage River
As soon as we crossed a bridge, we saw a checkpoint.
Only the cars with the special permission can go further in.
After we went through the checkpoint, we saw a ptarmigan,
which is a protected species in Japan, on the road.

‡B Teklanika River
We took the 1st break here. There were lots of buses,
people, and long lines for the washrooms.
From this area, a view suddenly opened up. For the width
of the river, there was a small amount of the water.

‡C@Sable Pass & Polychrome Pass
As we drove the road up to higher sea level area, the path without guardrail
contiued. It's mortally freightening for the people with the fear of height!!!!!

He stopped the bus there to let us enjoy the view.
The scenery from the cliff was so spectacular and vast,
and the great tundra area spreads out as far as my eyes can reach.

I happended to meet the caucasian family that I'd got to travel together
from Anchorage again. We posed together, and I asked them to take a picture of me.

The Eshelman
We stayed at different lodges
but had got to travel together from Anchorage.

It's really rare to be able to have
this vast spectacular view to ourself!!

‡D@Toklat River
The 2nd rest area along the wide river
These funny-looking buildings are restrooms.

‡E@Stony Hill
I learned we can see Mt. Mckinley, the highest mountain
in North America right in front of us on the clear sunny days.
BUT.......... NO HOPE......

What do you think the weather was like??? To be continued!!
