2: The biggest city in Alaska "Anchorage"

A two-and-a-half-hour flight later, I got to Anchorage and went outside. It was
MUCH MUCH COLDER than Japan so that I asked an information desk how cold
it was without any hesitations. Then she replied, "The high is 10℃." Oh!! It feels as if
it's the middle of winter in Osaka, Japan. I was relieved that I brought my leather jacket.
I went for a walk along the main street downtown a little.

"The 4th Avenue Theather"
We can see some movies for free here.

"JC-Penny" The biggest department store in Anchorage
Its wall is
Sooooooo ARCTIC!!!!!

A gift shop downtown
Grizzly-bear is one of the symbols in Alaska.

I had dinner at "Kumagoro," the Japanese restaurant on 4th avenue, which has not only
Alaskan meals but Japanese (Sushi, Udon, and Tempura... ) for the Japanese who are homesick.
So it's popular among travellers, businessmen, and immigrants...... all Japanese in Anchorage.

Kumagoro

Alaskan beer!! It was so mild
and sweet that it was easy
for me, not too crazy about beer.

American steak!!
Very thick and filling!!

After dinner, I dropped by a supermarket on the way back to the hotel.
I like supermarkets overseas so much because they always show me their local mood
and lives. Even though I didn't buy anything, It was so satisfying just looking at them.

Lots of different kinds of Haagen-Dazs
The U.S size is doubble the size of Japan.

Japanese soda pop!!

I'm gonna leave Anchorage in the crack of dawn. GOOD NIGHT!!
